We always love taking on new, and challenging projects, and this dream backyard design became a fabulous adventure.

The homeowner wanted his outdoor space to bring his family together for great memories, BBQs, poolside play time and outdoor experiences. That way, he could enjoy just being home with family when he back from his extensive work travel.

Multi-Level Dream Backyard

This project did have some obstacles we had to plan for, including a 12’ grade difference from one side to the other. With only a 5 foot wide access to the backyard we encountered some difficulty moving our machines in and out.

But solutions came in the form of ingenuity and a finer approach. Even the gradient provided us design opportunities, allowing an area transformation using multiple levels and some great structural techniques.

We devised an upper flagstone Belgard paver gathering spot, so everyone could enjoy time together on an elevated patio in the shade. We all agreed it made a wonderful place to enjoy a cold drink in summer or a hot cocoa in winter along with some great conversations.

Outdoor Dining Created for Comfort

For the homeowner, the pool proved an important part of this outdoor space. The layout involved a unique pool and spa combination to fit this one-of-a-kind backyard.

To complete this dream backyard setup we added a full outdoor kitchen. Ready for family meals it sported a new grill, an additional Evo griddle grill, a Green Egg Smoker, an ice maker, and refrigerator! At his request we included a granite counter top with a leathered Raider Black surface and bar seating. We even added an outdoor fireplace and space for additional seating.

Landscaping and Water Management

To compliment the new yard design we performed extensive landscaping all around. And for complete water management we installed a new drainage system.

For water consistency and even distribution we brought in and installed a new sprinkler system across all lawn and landscaping.

Overall, the yard looks amazing, was completed in a timely fashion, and the homeowner and his family are happy in their new outdoor space!
